He watched the mayor step onto the balcony. Nudge. A shoelace untied. The mayor stumbled, reaching for the railing. Loosen. A rusted bolt snapped.
Pitching forward into empty air, the mayor gasped. Slick. A stray bird dropping rode the wind down, landing precisely where frantic fingers tried to grip the ledge.
Gravity did the rest.
Todd adjusted his glasses, watching the distant, bloody splash below. Small changes, beautiful results. He might not be a superhero, but he was the finest assassin money could buy.
