Kris Ashton
Best known for tales of dark speculative fiction, Kris Ashton has published four novels and more than fifty short stories. His short fiction has appeared in Aurealis, Andromeda Spaceways, The Fiction Desk, and numerous horror and sci-fi anthologies. His latest horror novel, Demon Drink, was published in 2025.
Kris is also a career journalist, an award-winning essayist, and a middling but enthusiastic squash player. He lives in the wilds of south-western Sydney with his wife, two kids, and a Labradoodle named Maple.
He doesn’t like vegetables.
