Here I am on my deathbed with my life passing before my eyes. Again.
Before you think I’ve had a sickly or ill-fated past, that’s not true. I’ve had a long, happy, healthy life. It’s just the ending that’s been glitchy, like a video game stuck on endlessly and erroneously repeating a final boss level.
My memories fade, and I am back in the present. Too weak to speak, the words won’t come.
My loyal younger brother, with sadness and compassion in his eyes, leans forward with the pillow to put me out of misery once and for all.
Again.
