Pauline Yates is an avid reader and has a passion for crafting immersive character-driven stories. She has published multiple award-winning stories and is most comfortable in the dark speculative fiction realm. Her dream of cutting all contact with the world and spending her days writing partially materialized when she and her husband purchased an overgrown bush block on a mountain and carved out their dream home. She shares the space with her family and a growing tribe of grandchildren, as well as menagerie of birds and wildlife, chooks, a faithful border collie, and an immortal cat.

Pauline shares the Black Hare Press vision to showcase authors and celebrate their successes, and found herself instantly at home when she took over the newsletter and author interviews. Like the rest of the Black Hare Press team, she easily functions on no sleep, and knows how to burn the candle at both ends when the deadlines loom.
